Seasonalysis v1.3 was recently recently and includes many important changes. The most important change is the revamping of the symbol addition code. You can now add symbols by symbol OR company name. This change makes Seasonalysis much easier to use for market experts and novices alike! Check out the rest of the release notes below:

Seasonalysis v1.3 Release Notes (pending App Store approval)

• NEW: Revamped symbol addition code. You can now search by either the symbol or company name. Entering a name will give you a list of results to choose from. Narrow your search to just the USA or search the entire world, and you can specify whether you are looking for a stock, mutual fund, index, ETF, or all of the above!
• NEW: Added option to change date format (choices are mm/dd/yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy, and yyyy/mm/dd).
• NEW: Added ability for user to mail selected seasonal pattern in the Seasonal Behavior screen.
• Fixed an error that was found in the seasonal pattern calculation that caused it to improperly account for leap years. This affects the short term pattern (10 calendar days) the most, resulting in an error ranging from 0.1% to 0.6%. The errors are proportionally smaller for the 20 and 30 day patterns.
• Fixed bug where trying to access the seasonal stats for a stock on the Shanghai Exchange (.SS) resulted in the program closing.

Seasonalysis version 1.2.1 is now available! This version is primarily bug fixes but does have one important new feature - custom symbol management. Managing and ordering symbols is now just as easy as the native Stocks app! We have another interim update for Seasonalysis to be submitted in the next few days as well.

We have been hard at work on a suite of finance related applications and will soon have another offering available. More details will be provided soon, for now here is a sneak peak... think stock benchmarking . This app is >90% complete and will be submitted to Apple within the week. Enjoy!

Seasonalysis v1.2.1 has been submitted. The update contains mostly bug fixes, and one new feature. Version 1.3 is on track for a early-mid September release. Release notes for v1.2.1 are posted below:

Seasonalysis v1.2.1 Release Notes (pending App Store approval)

• NEW: Users can now reorder and delete symbols like the native Stocks application! Edit toggle button is placed on the bottom left corner of the screen.
• Fixed bug that would cause slider bar in settings screen to not draw properly.
• Fixed bug with the edit action sheet would pop twice and the user will only be able to close one of them, forcing the user to quit the app to get back to the home screen.
• Fixed bug where some ticker symbols were erroneously returned as invalid. (ie. ^GSPC, ^DJI)

• Added ability to easily refresh symbol data. To access this feature, tap and hold your finger over the desired symbol. An action sheet will appear giving you the option to either update the symbol data or delete the symbol. As before, you can also delete by swiping your finger across the desired symbol and tapping the delete button.
• Increased total # of back-testing years available from 20 to 50
• Added various interface animations.
• Fixed bug which would cause a significant delay when opening seasonal pattern track records.
• Fixed bug that affected chart average line calculations.
